Mount Fitzpatrick to Rock Lake Peak traverse

Post by TomTuriano »

On July 8, 2006, Amy Brennan, Derek Collins, and one other made a giant loop in Swift Creek in the Salt River Range, traversing from Mount Fitzpatrick to Rock Lake Peak.

Amy Brennan told me.....

"No, it was not the plan, just looked inviting...and it was a perfect day...no impending storms, etc. Just a great day for ridge-walking. It was about a 12-hour day...including a nice nap and lunch atop Fitzpatrick. Only took 4 hours to get to the top of Fitzpatrick. Traversing the ridge took longer than we thought...about 4 hours. I count that trip among the top ten hikes I've ever done. Extraordinarily gorgeous."
