In 2012, Pat Mees found an old video in a family attic of his grandfather's 1932 first ascent of Pilot Peak. There had been only a brief mention of the climb in Bonney's Guide to Wyoming Mountains and in mountaineering literature, and certainly no details had ever surfaced about their daring climb up the east ridge. For nearly 100 years, the mountaineering community held doubts that these cowboys could have succeeded at such an endeavor...until now...Enjoy...
