Diagonal Couloir on Pinnacle Butte

Postby TomTuriano » Mon Apr 25, 2005 10:56 am

Received this report from Jeramie Prine on 4/25/05:

Another Landerite and I skied (rode)the Diagonal Couloir on Saturday and
skied from the top of Pinnacle Buttes. We climbed up the couloir and the
snow was icey/crusty with frozen melt balls. Very interesting. The Bottle
Neck Classic looked a lot better as far as snow conditions, but I really
wanted to stand on the Pinnacles. What a wonderful line, and I did enjoy
making jump turns in the top section. I just wanted to say, "Thank you!" for outlining those in your book. True inspiration! Bear tracks everywhere.
