Peaks and Wilderness
For me, the most rewarding mountaineering activity is peak climbing. The peaks can be mere walk-ups, ski-ups, or they can require multiple pitches of difficult rock...I love it all. The release one gets from arriving at a remote summit after a toilsome climb is unmatched.

Greater Yellowstone is home to some of the world's most interesting and beautiful mountains, rich with history and natural splendor. The most famous include Gannett Peak, Grand Teton, and Granite Peak, but there are numerous peaks equally interesting and worthy of ascents.



Gannett Peak
Climbing mountains makes a perfect one-day outing from base camp during multi-day wilderness trips. These days in the heights almost always are the most rewarding of the entire trip consisting of fishing, hiking, rock climbing, and slab lounging. Again, summit climbs can range from simple hikes to technical climbs. As your guide, I will be prepared to provide climbs that are challenging, but within your ability, and to provide adequate safety equipment.
